Cambodian National Road Network Planning (2015)

In order to improve the national road network, integrated transport system and enhance Cambodian international competitiveness, drive and promote rapid economic and social development, we have assisted in the preparation of the Cambodian National Road Network Planning, with 9274 km of national road network layout. Among them, 2254 km of 9 one-digit national roads and 7020 km of 91 two-digit national roads. In order to reduce the impact of transit traffic on cities, 188 km of 6 bypass routes are planned for the cities of Phnom Penh, Batdambang, Siemreab and Kampong Thum. As a further extension and supplement of the national road network, 1293 km of 16 core provincial roads are proposed. By 2030, the total scale of Cambodian national road network will be about 24,000 kilometers, forming a national highway network connecting all county-level and above administrative regions, important transportation hubs, tourist attractions, border crossings and strategic sites of the country's border.
